Shakespeare King Lear Essay Homework
In this paragraph I will give an outline of the scene and explain what my essay will be about. I will be talking about the sisters are acting for the land. King Lear asked his daughters, Goneril, Regan and Cordelia, to give him arguments for who loves him the most. I will define how Shakespeare discusses King Lear’s daughters love for him. Firstly I will talk about Goneril then I will talk about Reagan after that I will talk about Cordealia. To conclude I will talk about King Lear.
Goneril
Shakespeare describes Goneril as false and manipulative as you can see Goneril uses these words to her farther ‘dearer than eyesight ,space and liberty.’ she is exaggerating the fact she loves her dad, king Lear, for the bigger piece of land out of the 2 other sisters for it. Goneril statement statement is trying to win over her father’s love. It is quite false she is trying to manipulate her dad. This is how Shakespeare presents Goneril false and manipulative.
Regan
Shakespeare presents Regan as competitive with all her sisters as she says. ‘I profess myself an enemy to all other joys’. Which translates to I am an enemy to all my sisters for the bigger piece of land from her farther king Lear. She is telling a bit of the truth of being an enemy but what she is trying to make strong answer or rebuttal to her older sister Goneril for the land from her dad king Lear. Also she does give other words to her farther who is slowly crawling to death. Shakespeare presents as competitive and wants the land by giving a strong statement to her farther king Lear.
Cordelia
Shakespeare presents the youngest sister Cordelia as truthful and honest. As she says this ‘I cannot heave my heart into my mouth’ this means she cannot lie for the land and is truthful to her father King Lear .this shows Cordelia the youngest daughter is honest ,clever and does not care about the land from her farther she also says this. ‘I love you more nor less’ .This is the way Shakespeare shows and presents Cordelia honest and truthful also clever.
King Lear
King Lear is a king slowly crawling to his death and trying to have fun with his last moments so he wants to give his land away to his daughters to lessen his stress. This is how Shakespeare presented King Lear. King Lear asked his daughters, Goneril, Regan and Cordelia, who loves him the most and asked them to give him statements and who ever won got the biggest part of his land.
Conclusion
To conclude to this essay I will go back on what I have said. Firstly Goneril the oldest sister out of the three is false a manipulative and exaggerates her love for her farther king Lear. Reagan the second oldest out of three is competitive and you can tell also false this is how Shakespeare presented the two older sisters .However Cordelia is very different she is truthful and does not care if she does not get the bigger piece of land. King Lear is just wanting to live the last moments of his life by giving his land away to his daughters and go out of control of the kingdom. This is how Shakespeare presents the characters in the role play of King Lear.

Goodnight Mr Tom!
This is a book that pulled me in and I couldn’t escape from.The Author Michelle Magorian worked really hard on this novel.
If someone told you that you have to read an old novel set in WW2 you’d think it’s going to be boring. Wouldn’t you?But Goodnight Mr Tom is completely different it tells a tale of a young boy who is a evacuee from England London
The story of young evacuee, William Beech, who is taken to kind old Tom Oakley in the country. Tom soon discovers multiple bumps and bruises all over Willie’s skin – the only explanation being a lot of beating. Under Mr Oakley’s care he flourishes. But, then Willie’s mother claims to be extremely sick and summons him back to war-torn London.
Things are certainly not looking good for him and when there is no word of him for weeks, Tom sets out to find his beloved evacuee. This is one of the saddest parts when William finds out that he has a littel sister but his mother duct taped her mouth to stop her crying.Also Willie was locked in a cupboard for weeks untill Mr Tom came to his rescue.
I really think you should read this book because it represents how sad the war was but yet still manages to fill up your mind with an incredible story.
I rate this book 9/10 because of the storyline but I’d like it more if it had pictures but it still is a great book you must read.

My name is Iqram and I am 11 years old. I was born on August 4th 2004,in London. I am the second oldest in my family.Also I am the only boy out of 4 sisters.This is the story about me!!
When I was a baby I lived in my grandma’s house, until I was two.With my cousins ,my sister Nadia and my aunts ,also my uncles and my mum and dad too.when I was about one my family use to go different places like Chesington and beaches like Brighton also Manchester. So we use to travel quite a lot.When I turned two me and my family moved to our own flat.While the years passed I had an annoying sister named Nelima on the 2nd of October 2008 born.
In 2011 me and my family (my grandmother, aunty,uncle,cousin,and my two sisters) went to Bangladesh for 3 months . We went to loads of different areas in Bangladesh to meet my relatives .Moreover, during my time in Bangladesh I stayed and witnessed loads of different things like poverty and weather conditions. From that trip I learned to be grateful for what I have.When I left Bangladesh my relatives all gathered and were upset that we were leaving ,some wear even crying.
When I was seven I learned that I had a brother. Born on the 28th of April 2003. I didn’t really understand until I was 10 what happened to him . This is the memory that I can remember clearly out of everything else.He pasted away 4 days after he was born .My family were saddened by his death his name was Imad . My mum never stepped in the hospital he passed away in or had to after his death.
When I turned 8. A month later,precisely 25th September 2012, my sister Inaya ,who was very cute and still is , was born. That same year the second best thing happens of my life on boxing day 2012 I got my first big games console at the time the PS3,my reaction was crazy I was going gffvbgd all day long.My dad and uncle (the best uncle in the world) got me it.Also, my mum got me FIFA 15 with it.
When I got in year 6 life got harder and harder with everyone on my back that I needed to get brilliant SATs results or else. When SATs came I was feeling very confident with all the tests. I confidently got good results , but in writing I got average. As SATs ended I got to go Brighton with my school , St Albans C Of E Primary School, we had the times of our life. I miss my primary mates. While in year six before SATs on April 20th my sister Tahira was born she and Inaya are the cutest in my family.She was my 4th sister.
On Eid day 24th of September I got a PS4 I was so excited! Now I study at London Nautical School its great. I’ve made loads of new friends since I’ve joined.If life taught me one thing life is too short make the most of it or live in misery and boredom.
