King Lear Letter

Dear Cordelia,

I am writing to tell you that I am so dreadfully sorry for what I have done and I am very guilty.

The reason why I am so sorry is because I did not see your honesty I am on the verge killing my self I’m going mad your sisters are taking over me and they have abandoned me and overthrown me with their husbands please come back I will do anything for you.

If you do make the decision I will never doubt you I know I have done the most worse you and you and who ever you chose will rule the kingdom. I’m driving my self mad for taking in their lies you were right. Goneril and Regan were not honest however you knew not to lie you knew something bad would happen from a lie.You was right I was wrong please come back.

If you don’t come back I understand.

Yours Faithfully Father

  1. Iqram, you clearly understand the way King Lear is feeling. Your letter is well structured and communicates the extent of Lear’s regret.

    Targets:

    1) You need to use full stops to separate sentences.
    2) Your letter is not long enough to achieve the badge.
    3) You should discuss how King Lear now feels about Goneril and Cordelia.
    4) You should discuss how his original decision was wrong.
    5) What might King Lear expect from Cordelia now? What is he asking her for?

This does not yet unlock the badge.
